Abstract :
The authors identify and discuss a number of issues associated with the development and use of performance indicators for commercial nuclear power plants. They review the objectives of various users of performance indicators and address the problem of applying the right performance indicators to the needs of such users. They conclude with a brief discussion of how the different user objectives of performance indicators can lead to conflicts over both the definition and implementation of performance indicator systems.<>
