Abstract :
Electromagnetic interference in frequencies below the 100 kHz range is an important part of electromagnetic interference in general. Low voltage electrical installations with voltages of 110V or 240V and with frequencies of 50/60Hz are omnipresent. They are present in some industrial environments, some office spaces and in domestic homes. These power lines are linked with electrical instruments, metallic data transmission cables and living organisms. The current in these power lines creates an alternating electromagnetic field which could have a significant impact on surrounding objects which are close to the power line, and to parallel metallic cables especially. In this article, the disrupting voltages from the magnetic induction of the power line on the metallic cable are measured. Their influence is dependent on the distance between the cables and the length of the parallel confluence of the cables.
