Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the problem of localization multiple sources in 3D space using spherical microphone arrays. In contrast to existing sound localization techniques, this method takes the physics of wave propagation into account. Then a genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the spherical microphone arrays. Simulations results show that the technique has the potential to localize multiple sources.
