Abstract :
We tuned both the center wavelength and the linear chirp of a 12 cm uniform fiber grating with a cantilever beam mechanical tuning device, and used the chirped grating for dispersion compensation 20 Gb/s transmission over 100 km of standard single mode fiber. Our experiment shows a favorable dispersion compensation effect.
