Abstract :
Legislation covering machines and electrical equipment is diverse and a number of legal requirements are imposed upon the designers/makers/suppliers/users and others working within this area. The author discusses the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and then discusses three European Directives in this area: The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992; The Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1992; and The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992.
