Abstract :
The scheduling problem in downlink of the cooperative multi-cell system is investigated in this paper. Multi-cell cooperative processing (MCP) has the potential to boost spectral efficiency and improve fairness. However, the centralized joint multicell scheduling optimization problem, based on the complete cochannel gain information, has so far been justly considered impractical due to complexity and real-time cell-to-cell signaling overhead. We consider the decentralized cooperative scheme with adaptive linear pre-processing transmission. The traditional single-cell scheduling schemes are extended to the multi-cell scenarios. The performance of the scheduling schemes are compared in terms of system average throughput and user average throughput.
