Abstract :
Theoretical investigations of a class of ring oscillators which has been known for over 30 years, but which has not previously been modeled, are presented. A significant feature of the results is the wide variety of distinguishable oscillation forms that are obtained with such apparently simple networks. A series of experiments was carried out to verify the simulated results. The close qualitative agreement between simulation and experiment shows that the relatively simple circuit models analyzed provide an adequate representation of the oscillators
