Abstract :
There will be buffer blocking in concurrent multipath transfer (CMT), when the receiver buffer is limited. A wise choice of retransmission policy helps reduce buffer blocking. In this paper, it is demonstrated that none of the retransmission policy gets the best performance at all times in the dynamically changing channels. Here we study that how the relative factors affect the performances of typical retransmission policies. Then buffer size and time-delay are changed respectively to discuss performance of CMT. It is concluded that relative differences between lossrate of paths, the size of rbuf and end-to-end time delay all have impact to the performance of retransmission policies.
