Abstract :
This paper deals with a Matlab- Graphical User Interface (GUI) based comprehensive performance analysis of a three winding single phase self excited induction generator (SEIG). There are different capacitor topologies proposed in the literature for three phase SEIG to feed single phase loads. Using this developed package, the theoretical performance of the generator has been evaluated by giving appropriate inputs of different topologies. This model is shown to be accurate, effective, and user friendly in estimating the generator performance. The validity of the application is also demonstrated by a critical comparison with test results.
