Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
Supercritical water oxidation was used for the treatment of oily wastewater generated as a consequence of steel production. Following a reaction at 430°C, a pressure of 40 MPa for 150 seconds, wastewater oil content was reduced to 2 mg/L, equivalent to a 97.7% reduction rate, allowing for the reuse of the wastewater. In addition, the reaction kinetics was determined to be first order with the integral method.
