Abstract :
In this study, the organization of phospholipid monolayers on a water surface was investigated by means of the Maxwell-displacement-current measuring technique developed by Iwamoto and Majima (1991). Displacement current flowing across L-α, D-α and DL-α-phospholipid monolayers was measured during monolayer compression together with the surface-pressure area isotherm. The relationship between the structure of these three phospholipid monolayers and the generation of Maxwell displacement current was examined
