Abstract :
This paper presents a method for obtaining the control scheme for flying capacitor three-level inverter and for the three-level neutral point clamped inverter using Karnaugh-Veitch maps. The method is based on the analysis of the inverter output voltage from which the logical functions that control each switch of the inverter are derived. The logical functions are minimized using Karnaugh-Veitch maps. The control algorithm of the inverter switches is made so that the voltages on the capacitors of the inverter are balanced. The simulations were performed in OrCAD PSpice.
