Abstract :
In order to achieve the automatic load recovery of the distribution circuits with open loop schemes, the use of reclosers and control units with remote access facilities have recently been recommended . In this paper a method is proposed to take advantage of some of those facilities, specially for the time coordination with other devices, like automatic switcher. The coordination of these reclosers must be carried out by setting the dead time, with the same fast and slow curves for several values of threshold tripping, and lockout in two operations. This sequence of operations should lead to a selective isolation of the faulted section. To achieve this, it is necessary to set the dead times according to a logic which is described here. The criterion suggested consists of setting the dead times from low to high, starting from the recloser nearest to substation
