Abstract :
Segmenting data field and speeding up volume rendering process with the preconditions of image quality are two crucial techniques and they are much hotter in medical visualization research. A volume rendering algorithm is presented based on Density-isoline. First the paper presents a new cluster method to segment 3D medical image based on isodensity and some measures are taken to speed up clustering process; Second, a new volumetric data visualization tool is adopted to volume rendering 3D medical data field . Finally the realization and experiment result show that the algorithm can improve rendering speed effectiveiy and guarantee rendering image quality.
