Abstract :
The interpolation sequences needed for cascade structures are considered. First, the optimal sequences based on half-band filters are examined. The sequences with integer coefficients are then studied. The interpolation algorithm is reviewed, and the required number of multiplications is determined for half-band filters and compared with pruning and perfect interpolation techniques
