Abstract :
A simple blind adaptive receiver structure is proposed in this paper, in which each user needs only one linear filter. The blind adaptive algorithm based on the subspace method comprises of two parts: subspace tracking and channel estimation, and needs the knowledge of only the signature waveform and timing of the first path of the desired user. In the channel estimation part, a novel algorithm is proposed, whose computational complexity is lower that in Wang and Poor (1998). Simulations demonstrate that the algorithm can quickly and accurately estimate the channel in the case of knowing the timing of each path. In the case of knowing only the information of the timing of the first path, the steady state performance of the algorithm decreases. However, the corruption contributes little to the system performance.
