Abstract
Detection of data modulated carrier signals represented by a limited number of samples in a data communication network that spans over a mixed analog and digital environment is implemented using the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) technique. The author addresses fundamental properties of sampled carrier signals interworking with the 64 kbit/s oriented digital environment. A modified version of the DFT detection that is applicable to any signal with a number of samples greater than two is introduced. The detection performance is then measured
