Abstract
Self-sustained oscillations of the acoustoelectric effects and self-modulation of surface acoustic waves in layered structures are demonstrated theoretically and experimentally. Experiments are conducted in piezoelectric-semiconductor-layered structures with external feedback. The regions of the self-sustained oscillations and self-modulation periods are studied in different external conditions. Periodic stochastic regimes of oscillation are noted. The existence of oscillations and acoustoelectric effects and self-modulation of surface acoustic waves is noted in layered structures without external feedback. The possibilities of the self-oscillation mode of acoustoelectric effects for surface solids acoustic spectroscopy are discussed
