Abstract
A design of a Bipolar SCR (BSCR) protection circuit for high speed applications is presented in this paper. Circuit techniques and analyses are described that enable BSCR protection circuits with high ESD performance to meet the stringent requirements for high speed circuit applications. Results show that the BSCR can achieve ESD thresholds of >2 kV with a 40% less capacitance load than NPN protection circuits with comparable area
