Abstract
A serial approach to the generation and detection of offset M -ary QAM-type signals is presented which extends the technique proposed by F. Amoroso and J. Kivett (1977) for MSK. In all cases considered, serial implementations exhibit a lower sensitivity to imperfect carrier synchronization than the corresponding parallel implementations. Some numerical results concerning the performance of serial OQAM-type techniques are given
