This paper analyzes the current status of rural finance in China, including the status of rural finance supply and demand, rural financial credit environment, rural financial supervision, and rural financial service level. The result shows there is high fund demand in rural China due to the low rural per-capita income, lack of rural job opportunity, low rural social security level and rapid expansion of township enterprises. There is rural fund undersupply since the underdevelopment of agricultural insurance and informal finance, and the little support of rural credit cooperative, agricultural development bank, postal savings bank and other commercial banks. In addition, the result shows that the current rural financial credit environment and rural financial service are both poor, and the rural financial supervision is imperfect.
