With China´s sustained and rapid economic development, the rapid growth of the overall national strength, the RMB internationalization faces the important opportunities. As an example, RMB has become the main settlement currency in Yunnan frontier trade. This study discusses the conditions of RMB settlement of frontier trade in Yunnan, and presents some analyses about the main characteristics of RMB settlement of frontier trade in Yunnan. Furthermore, it points out the main problems of RMB settlement of frontier trade in Yunnan. We discover the countermeasures to the problems. Finally, we draw the conclusions.
