After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.

The paper researches consumption disparity between urban and rural households in Xiamen city according to Keynes´s consumption function theory, using annual statistics during 1980–2009. Based on Chow test results, we do co-integration test for the urban and the rural separately, and reach the corresponding conclusion about the short-term and long-term relations between income and consumption. Then establish the error correction model. The paper provides economic policy of Xiamen a theoretical basis.
