This paper contributes to the discussion of institutional trust in the knowledge chain management. We elaborate four forms of diffusion mechanism of institutional trust in knowledge chain system, namely, internal regulation based mechanism, internal belief based mechanism, external regulation based mechanism and external belief based mechanism. The conclusion of institutional trust as a resource of competitive advantage is achieved in the end.
