Abstract :
In this paper, we present a multi-antenna time division multiplexing (TDM) system based on passive UHF RFID, which consists of a reader based on Intel R1000 UHF RFID Development Platform, a number of tags and three groups of antennas. The RSSI localization method is adopted. In order to accomplish passive positioning, some improvements are introduced. We propose the concept of setting the dynamic k value and the error correction algorithm of nearest neighbor tags. The improved algorithm can verify and correct localization error effectively. According to field application, this system can result better positioning accuracy and stability comparing with the existing LANDMARC localization technique based on active RFID.
