Abstract
Considering the fact that energy of the RFID-WSN smart node system which uses battery is limited, the high power consumption caused by tag uploading information disorderly to the smart node is the major problem. To make sure the system operates with the minimum possible energy consumption to avoid replacing battery frequently, a low-power information upload method is proposed based on the RFID-WSN smart node system. Firstly, the smart node allocates the upload parameters to tags. Secondly, these tags will orderly upload information to the smart node in the specified time slot. The method can avoid a large number of collisions resulted data loss and high energy consumption caused by the disorder upload. We also design a RFID-WSN smart node system platform suitable for such method and other applications. The calculation results of energy consumption show that the information-upload approach is suitable for RFID-WSN smart node system and can reduce the power consumption by 50% or more.
