Abstract
A crystalline organic field effect transistor (OFET) with the polarizable material of 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5- pyrimidinol was accomplished in thermal vacuum evaporation system. In the measurement for the devices, three types of IDS -VDS curve with the applied VG were found, in which the anomalous electrical properties from the devices were obtained, including the normal IDS-VDS curves of OFETs, the battery properties of the devices controlled by the applied VG and the disappearance of the field effect performance after the device was measured many times at the ambient atmosphere. We proposed that these anomalous electrical properties from the devices should be related to different crystalline structure in polarizable 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5-pyrimidinol thin film.
