Trade protectionism has long being existed and it coincides with economic crisis. In the current financial crisis, trade protectionism is showing diversified forms including new trends covering larger fields and more industries, spreading to emerging markets and cross-border labor mobility field and taking advantages of the flexible and ambiguous features of trade regulations. Trade protectionism has had serious and negative effects on both China´s foreign trade and economic development. In order to convert crisis into opportunity, avoid further damage trade protectionism may have to our country and maintain sustainable development for China´s foreign trade, we have to actively transform our trade modes, verify our export markets, respond trade protectionism vigorously, develop low-carbon economy and build a series of corporations with international visions and competitiveness.
