Abstract :
In this paper, a logical-dynamical system modeling and simulation tool is introduced. This tool combines both the discrete event system and continuous time system. The model of the discrete event system is represented by a Petri net model (specific condition/event net). Using the “composite component model” the continuous time system, called the basic system, is designed. Both systems are connected by the switch block. The decision of the switch position depends on the mark setting of the Petri net. It is shown that after a consideration of the whole system a separate modeling of both systems is useful
