Abstract :
An efficient approach of enhancing dual-energy X-ray carry-on luggage images based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and improved sine gray level transform is proposed in this paper. During the course of DWT, wavelet coefficients are filtered, averaged and weighted to fuse and enhance the dual-energy X-ray images. Then sine gray level transform is improved and performed to extend the interesting regions and make details more clarity. Experimental results show that the new method can improve the image definition efficiently.
