The current-voltage characteristics of polymer light-emitting diodes are shown to be dominated by the space-charge limited bulk hole-conductivity. The electron current is strongly reduced by an injection barrier as well as electron traps, giving rise to a gradual increase of the device efficiency with increasing bias
