Abstract :
Wave energy is one of the more promising renewable generation sources. This paper presents a model to optimise the layout of an electrical network that collects the energy generated by a wave farm. The goal is to minimise the cost (installation and losses). With several combinations among AC and DC transmission available, optimization algorithms easily reach local minimums. In order to avoid this a niche evolutionary algorithm is proposed.
