Abstract
Summary from only given, as follows. We present in this paper a comparison between global methods, such as boundary element method, and local methods, such as absorbing boundary conditions, to solve unbounded wave propagation problems. Closeform solutions are known for some problems of scattering by simple shapes: we try to quantify the error due to the truncation of the FE domain.
