  • Abstract
Cross-organizational collaboration encompasses two main factors: the coordination of information flows among organizations and the autonomy of each participant. An approach based on public-view and Object Petri net will be proposed in this paper, which is inspired by the similarity between cross-organizational workflow modeling and Object Petri net. The public view of each organization is the external projection of actions that are relevant for partners, which hides the details of the internal process. The information flow net of organizational coordination is constructed by the composition of each participant´s public view, and the synchronization relationship between the organization´s internal processes and communication structure is established by the interaction set of Object Petri net. A modeling instance demonstrates the effectiveness of the approach.
