Abstract :
In this paper, a new experimental-calculation method for airborne radar radome electrical characteristics evaluation is described. The experimental part of the method supposes special diagnostic parameters measurements accomplished without using the antenna protected by the radome. The calculation part of the method allows, according to the results of this measurement, to calculate the electrical characteristics of the radome. The application of this method enables comparative experimental evaluation of the electrical characteristics of different variants of radome construction in the design process and control during its production.
