Abstract :
A new method for detection and identification of faults in the induction motor is proposed in this work. The proposed method is based on the analysis of structured residues of the stator currents. We present a model of defects based on magnetically coupled circuits and used in numerical simulation. The simulation results obtained by the proposed able to detect and identify faults break bars, ring portion and eccentricity defects with a good estimation of their onset time method.
