Abstract :
A 2-D least mean square method to estimate a focus position for ultrasonic transducers is presented, together with experimental results and those of simulations performed to evaluate the technique. Computer simulation indicates that the method proposed gives reliable results in the presence of time-of-flight errors. It is also observed that the estimations become poorer as the number of receiver positions is decreased
