Abstract :
We researched into the influence of lanthanon Ce on the algae diversity in Baotou section of the Yellow River by doing experiments. The result shows that lanthanon Ce inhibits the diversity and variety of algae. Ce with low concentration (1 mg/L) obviously stimulates the total number of algae, and chlorophyta appear to be more adaptive to lanthanon with low concentration than others; Ce with high concentration (20 mg/L) inhibits the number of algae. The stimulus effect of lanthanon with low concentration on algae might be one of the influential factors of eutrophication in Baotou section of the Yellow River.
