Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach to decentralize power system state estimation based on the application of fuzzy logic. This formulation involves the use of Kalman Bucy filter based on the augmented state vector, which is formed by state variables and the parameters to be estimated. This alternative method of the combined fuzzy logic with the Kalman Bucy parameter estimation by state augmentation, is used to make local estimate of voltage magnitude that determines the control setting of the static VAR compensator (SVC). A load bus that includes SVC is used to demonstrate the performance of the fuzzy Kalman Bucy filter (FKBF) estimation accuracy. The result is compared with the conventional technique, which shows a better estimation
