Abstract
Optical properties of gold nano-particles have been thoroughly studied and are well documented. Previous research has focused predominantly on the properties of a single particle or regular geometric shapes. To realistically use gold nano-particles to manufacture a metamaterial, there must be an acceptable margin of error. In order to determine what is acceptable, this study investigates how the overall plasmonic resonance changes in a material at different percentages of error.
