Abstract
Simple principles of EMI suppression in a complex EMI environment may not sometimes yield desirable results. Moreover, updating of various EMC standards and codes of practice related to good EMC engineering is not taking place coping with fast changing technological scenario. It is often reported that EMC measures have resulted in counter productive situations. In this paper, it is intended to address a few common EMC measures which may fall short of expected results unless realistic engineering thinking is put into place.
