Abstract
This paper investigates the application of multi-resolution wavelet analysis to the problem of feature matching in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise. The proposed algorithm computes the normalized cross correlation between the signal and the feature, using filtered wavelet coefficients. Simulations are conducted comparing the method to the classical optimum receiver
