Abstract
In this work we investigate the effect of a uniform magnetic field on electromigration. We propose a method for applying a magnetic field to control the electromigration process in order to use it for nano-needle and nano-electrode fabrication. Our method is easy to implement and may lead to cheaper electrode/needle fabrication process. Our simulation results show that we are able to increase the eletromigration on one side of a two dimensional wire of nanometer scale and reduce it on the other side.
