Abstract :
The CAD of a Tchebyscheff tapered balun transformer which will function over frequency bandwidths as great as 100:1 is presented. The balun impedance is tapered so that the input reflection coefficient follows a Tchebyscheff response in the pass band. But some functions in the theory are not expressible in closed form except for special values of the parameters. So the values of the functions are obtained from the tabulation. As a result, the design of the balun can not get more accurate values of the functions. With the numerical calculation, we can get the exactly values in a few seconds.
