Abstract :
Woven convolutional code (WCC) introduced in recent years is a new efficient error-correcting code. In this paper, we present a novel optimizing design method where the convolutional codes with maximum slope are used as the component codes of woven convolutional codes. The system simulation results show that the error-correcting performance of WCC is improved greatly. It is of great theoretical and practical value for the method to be applied in the field of combination codes to improve performance of error control. Particularly, we modified the BCJR decoding algorithm and added a row-wise random interleaver.
