Abstract :
Plane wave scattering by a three-dimensional step discontinuity on an infinite perfect conducting plane surface is studied in the case where the scattering problem is reduced to the frequency or time domain electric field integral equation (EFIE). The conducting surface is modeled by planar triangular patches for numerical solution and results show that the current induced by the incident wave is highly perturbed because of the presence of a three-dimensional step.
