Abstract :
In this paper geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD), geometrical optics (GO) and physical optics (PO) are used to calculate the back scattering field of a cylinder-rotating parabolic body. The calculated result is in accordance with the measured result given by the references. It is concluded that, when target´s electric size in excess of twice the wavelength, higher diffraction fields can be ignored.
