Abstract :
We consider the problem of high-speed downlink packet scheduling which can support real-time data services for multiple mobile users sharing a wireless time-varying channel in cellular CDMA wireless networks. In order to satisfy the diverse QoS requirements of real-time services and at the meantime make the best use of the time-varying nature of wireless fading channel to improve the overall performance of the system, we design a computationally efficient scheduling algorithm based on fuzzy logic, which is called fuzzy rule based opportunistic scheduling (FROS). FROS is able to strike a satisfactory balance between the multiuser diversity gain and the QoS provisioning for mobile users. System-level simulations show that FROS has better performance compared with the M-LWDF or EXP-rule algorithm over non-stationary wireless channels.
