Abstract

This paper introduces an approach for implementing product assessment in a generic mechanical parts manufacture. In Tochigiya Co. Ltd checklist items for product assessment are selected according to the properties of the products and end-of-life treatment that the assembling manufactures intend. Also, products assessment is integrated into design review with the verification of compliance with the restriction of the use of hazardous chemical substances
