Abstract
A procedure to be used during the design of an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is proposed in this work. The procedure is based on a set of simplified equations, which describes the OTA performance as a function of transistor size and bias current. These equations have been previously investigated in the literature; however, a suitable method to deal with the many degrees of freedom must be worked out. This work proposes for the design of a switched capacitor stage a possible approach to produce a power optimized OTA. The design of a folded-cascode amplifier is proposed in order to validate the procedure
